Slate Blue Capital is a Dallas-headquartered asset management and capital markets firm. Four platforms, six offices, one standard.
What we are
Private equity, credit and insurance, multi-asset solutions and capital markets, under one roof.
Three platforms invest: Slate Blue Foundry, Slate Blue Harbor and Slate Blue Mosaic, operated through Slate Blue Capital Management LLC, the firm's investment adviser. The fourth, Slate Blue Summit, is the firm's capital markets business, conducted through Slate Blue Capital Securities LLC, an intended broker-dealer. Each keeps its own name, team and program. The governance, the compliance program and the standards are shared.

Governance

Investment Committee
Approves every investment across the three investing platforms under one investment policy statement and one allocation-of-opportunities policy.

Management Committee
Runs the firm: budget, hiring sequence, office footprint, vendor selection and the regulatory change calendar.

Valuation Committee
Independent of deal teams. Sets and reviews marks under the valuation policy on a fixed cadence.

Commitment and New Business Committees
For Slate Blue Summit: mandate acceptance, underwriting limits, conflicts clearance and pricing and allocation.
Firm-wide policy set
Standards
The stricter rule governs.
Every platform carries the firm-wide policies as well as its own. Where the two differ, the stricter requirement applies. The policy set is written, versioned and registered before it is relied on.

At Slate Blue Capital, Alexandra Pohl is Chief Executive Officer and William Pohl III is Chief Operating Officer; Alexandra chairs its investment committee and William is Co-Chair.
